Mark
Yahan Liang (b.1991) was born and raised in Taiwan. She explores the nature of social issues in the post-truth era by looking at human behaviour through graphic design, painting and publishing.

With a Fine Arts background, her work engages with the diverse resonance of graphic language and photographic expression, in particular in the field of conspiracy discussion. She works on image sequences, juxtapositions, and collages, often using found images. The underlying themes of her practice are the narration and the appropriation of images, and the reflection of the potential aftermath when they are disseminated.

She is interested in how messages, derived from online platforms, can shape the way of people’s thinking, and consequently have an impact on the definition of truth. In her recent practice, she employs image as a medium to investigate the consequences of unproved interpretation in the process of constructing fact.
